1 • cassava

3 • banana leaves (endagala)

1 • Peel the cassava
2 • Wash and cut it into moderate pieces

4 • Place the wrapped pieces into a saucepan(sefuria) with cut pieces of the a midrib at the bottom
5 • The midrib, or main stem, of the matooke bunch is cut into pieces and added to the bottom of the saucepan to stop it from making the wrapped content watery or soggy
6 • Add water to the saucepan "sefuria".
7 • Now place the saucepan on heat and steam the cassava for 45 minutes
8 • After, unwrap the cassava and serve
